Housing Cooperative Societies registered under the Punjab Cooperative Societies Act 1961 have been formed for regular distribution, maintenance and upkeep of residential and commercial premises constructed by the Housefed Wing under the Cooperative Department of the Government of Punjab. The Jalandhar Housefed Complex Cooperative House Building Society Ltd was registered in the year 2002 for flats and shops built by Housefed Punjab. Every flat or shop ownership change, loan approval or other documents are issued by Housefed only on the recommendation of this Society.
The Jalandhar Housefed Complex Cooperative House Building Society Limited has a decent, peaceful, secure and clean housing complex in Guru Gobind Singh Avenue Jalandhar adjourning with Amritsar-Delhi National Highway. It is just 1.3 kilometers from Jalandhar city Railway Station and 3 kilometers from Jalandhar Cantt. Railway Station. It has 2BHK & 3BHK flats in separate complex. The apartment is fully furnished with a kitchen, a living room, a dining area and bedrooms with attached bathrooms. There is a space for garden and a parking area for each flat member.

Housefed Society is a system constituted voluntarily to meet the common economic, social and cultural needs and aspirations of the members through a jointly-owned and democratically controlled enterprise.
Membership: Housefed Society is open to the peoples who want to purchase flat or shop in their complex and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership without social, racial, political and religious discrimination.
Democratic member Control: Housefed Society is democratic organizations controlled by their members, who actively participate in setting their policies and making decisions. Men and women serving as elected management committee members are accountable to the all members.
Member’s Economic Participation: The members of the Housefed society pay a monthly maintenance fee to the society. With this fee, the management committee of the society pays for security, water, street light, cleaning, maintenance of parks and other expenses in the society. All income-expenditure accounts are kept transparent and the society’s annual accounts are audited by the audit wing of the Cooperative Department
Autonomy and Independence: The Jalandhar Housefed Complex Cooperative House Building Society Limited Guru Gobind Singh Avenue Jalandhar is an Autonomous and self-governing body. The members of its management committee are elected by its members every five years through a democratic system of voting. The elected representatives of the Management Committee elect the President, Senior Vice President and Vice President. An Annual General Meeting is convened by the society in a year. The agenda of this Annual General Meeting is fixed with the opinion of all the members.
Social, Cultural and Religious Participation: Apart from the maintenance of its complexes, the Housefed Society ensures the participation of all members by holding joint events on social, religious and cultural festivals. Such events strengthen the cultural and community ties.
Concern for Environment: Sincere efforts are made by the Housefed Society to protect the environment and prevent the use of plastic in its complex. Apart from herbal plants, the society has planted Guava, Lychee, Pomegranate, Mango, Jamon, Fig, Kinnow, Orange and Lemon trees in its complexes. All these fruit trees are being cared for organically without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Shade trees have been planted outside the perimeter of the society’s premises. A water cooler has been installed at the main gate of the society for the convenience of the public.
Facilities in Society’s Complexes: Reliance Smart Point, MORE Super Market, Indane LPG Dealership and Petrol Filling Stations are a few steps away from both the complexes of the Housefed Society. Car parking has been provided by the society to all the flat residents. There is a Community Hall and a common washroom facility each in both the complexes of the society for family or social events. Security room at the main gate and security staff accommodation are also available on both the complexes. A security guard is posted 24 hours in both complexes of the society. CCTV cameras are monitoring every part of both complexes. Fire extinguishers are installed in each residential block.
Concern for Community: Housefed Society work for the sustainable development of the community through policies approved by their members. Their motto is to make the progress line go higher and higher.
